How the three connect
You may ask, "How does Continental Drift, Sea Floor Spreading, and the Layers of Earth build into the theory of Plate Tectonics? " Well, that's quite simple. They all go together into the theory of Plate Tectonics because they all are in the Earth working together to do the same thing. For example, Continental Drift is the theory of how the continents moved. This is called the Pangaea theory. Alfred Wegener came up with this idea. Sea Floor Spreading is when magma rises up towards the surface and solidifies instead of floats. This explains how Continental Drift happened. The Layers of Earth build together with these two because the Layers are where all the magma comes from for the Sea Floor Spreading. All of theses factors work together almost like they're a family.
Now, that's just what they do. They all come together like a three pieced puzzle because of the way they move. They move similar. Continental Drift occurred because of Sea Floor Spreading, and Sea Floor Spreading happened because of the Earth's Layers. I think of it as a never ending cycle.
